
Gert Gjinarari, also known as "Gert the General", who is considered one of the most well-known names in the Albanian criminal world, was arrested today in Belgium.
Police found that the 52-year-old was in possession of forged Italian documents.
Gjinarari was sentenced to life imprisonment for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated Murder", committed in collaboration, "Premeditated Murder", "Production and sale of narcotics", "Criminal organization" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and structured criminal group".
The 52-year-old has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Tirana's strongman, Naim Zyberi, in 1997 in Italy.
Meanwhile, a photo of the 52-year-old has been published in the media, who now appears transformed.
