A serious incident has occurred in Greece. A 35-year-old Albanian woman has lost her life just hours after giving birth to her second child, while her family is demanding a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
Viosana Mane was admitted to Livadia General Hospital for a planned cesarean section. According to relatives, the pregnancy had passed without complications and there had been no discomfort during the nine months.
The operation was successful and the 35-year-old gave birth to a healthy baby boy. However, the family's joy only lasted a few hours. After giving birth, her health deteriorated rapidly due to severe postpartum hemorrhage.
Doctors at Livadia Hospital intervened immediately to stop the bleeding and stabilize him, but due to his critical condition, an urgent transfer to the "Thriasio" Hospital in Athens was decided, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.
Despite the medical team's continued efforts, the complications caused by the massive blood loss proved irreversible and the 35-year-old woman passed away.
The event has caused shock in Greek public opinion and in the community where the family lived. The deceased left behind her husband, an 8-year-old son and a newborn baby.
Following her death, family members are demanding a full investigation to clarify whether the complication was managed according to medical protocols and whether all necessary procedures were respected during her treatment at Livadia Hospital.
