The three people who drowned in Vila Bashtovo in Kavaja were pulled out of the sea by kayak by a person who works on the beach.

Two witnesses say they saw a man raising his hands and asking for help, but none of the vacationers went into the sea because they were afraid of the big waves.

The person in the kayak took out the children first and then the father.

Two witnesses tell more about this tragedy.

"There were waves, as soon as we came in the morning we saw that there were waves. But they entered. The children tried more to enter, and it came as a surprise to us that only for a moment we saw that one of the people who were nearby raised his hand and at that moment we were shocked. I was nearby, I was shocked, there was a kayaker who had these vulnerable people. We rushed and grabbed some of them by the arm and some by the leg, took them to the shore, laid them down. We thought it was. When we saw that there were 3 people, it was the father and we did it, we barely got him out. We took him to the shore and whoever could then started giving him a massage", says one of them for TV Klan.

"The tragedy could have been avoided. At the moment the beach opens, I think it should be the boundary line up to which a simple swimmer can enter, while here they don't exist. Then, if medical help had been provided sooner, it would have been avoided. I saw that the whole society that was there, all the vacationers, was sensitized, but it was in vain" , says another.

Although they massaged and breathed on the beach, they lost their lives. The father had gone to the beach with his two children from Tirana.

The three of them were bathing together 30 meters from the shore. First, the 13-year-old boy drowned and his father tried to save him, and in this attempt he also drowned.
