New details emerge from the tragic event at Vilë-Boshtovë beach, in Kavajë, where three members of a family from Tirana lost their lives at sea.
Father Elvis Halilaj, 50 years old, along with his two minor children aged 15 and 13 respectively, died while bathing in the sea.
It is learned that the children of the 50-year-old man from Tirana entered the sea first and were in danger due to the big waves and rough sea.
The 50-year-old immediately entered the sea to help his two sons, aged 13 and 15, but unfortunately none of the three could come out alive.
Eyewitnesses have shown that they called the ambulance immediately, but the latter arrived an hour and a half late, so it is not known whether the three victims came out of the sea with signs of life or not.
Meanwhile, it is learned that there were no coast guards to stop vacationers from entering the sea.
The reason for the drowning of the members of the same family is suspected to have been the rough sea with big waves. But the red flag that should warn vacationers about the danger from the rough sea has stuck to the shore only after the tragedy with 3 victims.
