New details are being learned from the tragedy with two victims in Tirana, where a 56-year-old man and his 47-year-old relative lost their lives after asphyxiating from a gas leak.
The owner of the apartment on Marie Kraja Street in the Kinostudio neighborhood had returned from Greece to carry out some repairs at home. Together with his relative, citizen Vladimir Bengu, they had been working on the apartment last night, where they decided to spend the night.
The cause of death is suspected to have been a gas leak from a gas cylinder used to heat the room. According to the investigation so far, the heater had been left on all night, resulting in their death.
It was their family members who notified the police after they did not answer their phone calls. The morgue truck was seen at the scene this evening after police made the shocking discovery.
