There is no longer any need to cross the English Channel to get to England. Albanian traffickers, with the increased measures of the authorities and the significant reduction of crossings, have found the alternative solution and that is Spain.
Albanian smugglers are advertising a new migrant route from Spain to the UK on TikTok, using emojis of trucks, ferries and images of the London Eye to advertise the crossing.
The gangs are offering to smuggle people in lorries from Santander (on Spain's north coast) to Portsmouth for £14,000 per person, by ferry, before taking a Eurostar from northern France.

People smugglers are usually paid between £3,000 and £5,000 to cross the Channel in small boats, but the new route is advertised as less dangerous and avoids improving border security at some of the busiest ports.
This means that migrants are less likely to be identified and deported back to the country they traveled from.
The TikTok videos come as six people died on an overcrowded ferry heading from the coast of France to the UK on Saturday morning.
TikTok is said to have removed all videos and shut down accounts that were selling the new track.
"If they arrive on a small boat, they know they are likely to be returned to Albania," an immigration investigator told the Telegraph .
"They know their asylum claim will be rejected, so they don't register with the Home Office. To pay the large amount of money to enter the UK, many people get involved in cannabis farms."
It comes as the number of illegal immigrants trying to enter the UK through Portsmouth and Poole has increased, according to the UK and immigration watchdog.
The immigration investigator added that the detection of migrants through Portsmouth and Poole has increased following security improvements at ports in France such as Calais, Coquelles and Dunkirk.
