A day after the clash between the Municipal Police and representatives of the Shkodra Mufti's Office over the removal of a sign with prophetic sayings near the "Ebu Bekër" Mosque, the situation has taken new developments.

Today, the Shkodra Mufti announced that works were being carried out in the area around the Parruca Mosque, part of a project by the Shkodra Municipality.

In the announcement, the religious institution emphasizes that these works are taking place on waqf land, which according to the Mufti's office is its property.

"The Shkodra Mufti announces that it is stopping the continuation of the works of the Shkodra Municipality project, which were being carried out on its endowment land, near the Parrucë Mosque," the Shkodra Mufti's announcement states.

This situation comes after the tensions of the previous day, when Municipal Police officers intervened to remove a sign with prophetic sayings placed by the Mufti near the "Ebu Bekër" Mosque, which caused numerous reactions in public opinion and the city's Muslim community.
