Police in statement

Four criminal groups, one of which was completely destroyed, were hit in the framework of an anti-drug operation, developed by the state police in Elbasan, Pogradec, Prrenjas, Cërrik, Belsh and Librazhd. 45 people have been arrested, including businessmen, drug dealers, suppliers and leaders of criminal groups. 7 others have been declared wanted. According to the police, those arrested were divided into several criminal groups, while 11 of them were previously convicted for drugs,

The State Police has issued an official statement to the media, regarding the anti-drug operation carried out in Elbasan during the early hours of the morning, which was aimed at hitting a criminal group.

The statement states that 400 police officers were engaged in this operation and they detained 45 people.

According to the police, there are a total of 52 people involved in the criminal group, seven of whom have been declared wanted.

During this operation, 1.3 kg of cocaine, 860 grams of heroin, 1.3 kg of cannabis, 1 Kalashnikov, 51 million Lek and 15 thousand € were seized.

Declaration:

"For an investigative period, investigative structures have analyzed the details collected by the intelligence for a period of several years. Incidents and new evidence that were provided were continuously administered.  

It became possible to document the involvement in criminal activity of 52 persons for trafficking and sale of narcotics. The head of the Elbasan prosecutor's office issued 52 arrest warrants that were executed this morning.

During today's operation, 4,902 police officers were engaged in several cities, 52 apartments and 18 bars were searched. 45 citizens were detained and 7 others were declared wanted.

During the checks, the police found 1 kg and 311 grams of cocaine, 86 grams of heroin, 1 kg of cannabis, thousands of doses of cocaine, heroin, cannabis seized during the investigation, a firearm, a quantity of military ammunition, as well as a monetary amount of 51 million lek, 15 thousand euros. and some Swiss francs.

29 other citizens were prosecuted. These citizens engaged in criminal activity in the sale and production of narcotics.

They had divided the areas of influence where they carried out criminal activity, 11 of them were convicted in the field of narcotics, another 15 for other criminal offences. 10 citizens are part of criminal groups. One criminal group was completely hit and three other criminal groups were partially hit"
