The Tirana Municipal Council meeting continues, where the dismissal of Erion Veliaj from the position of mayor will be voted on.

Opposition and majority councilors seem to be united in voting in favor of Veliaj's dismissal, although each for their own reasons and arguments.

Endri Shabani said that Veliaj should have been fired a long time ago, so the socialist councilors should apologize, after having wasted 7 months on the citizens of Tirana.

"I brought the request for the dismissal of the mayor in February, the one you presented is incomplete. Let's see how public responsibility puts us over interest, I don't know if Veliaj is guilty of all the charges that the prosecution has raised, I am his accuser. But I know that he cannot be mayor.

"He should have resigned in December, when he went to prison, in February, in May, however he refused, but not without your permission. He has held this city hostage with your permission. Every member of the SP here should start with an apology, for having lost the citizens of Tirana at least 7 months," said Shabani.
