In the early hours of the morning, in Dhërmi, a fire broke out that engulfed a large wooded area with various bushes and vegetation.

The event after an event in a private entity, where it is suspected that 28-year-old L. Xh., who was a participant in this event, lit fireworks that caused the fire.

As a result, a considerable forest and bush area was damaged by the flames. Dhërmi Police Station, after receiving the notification and thanks to the close cooperation with the residents and vacationers in the coastal area, managed to identify and arrest the suspected perpetrator.

The procedural materials have been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora, which will continue with further actions for the criminal offense "Negligent destruction of forests and forest environment".
