The US sees the phenomenon of dirty money laundering in Albania worryingand which further raises questions about the credibility of the fight against corruption.
Thus stated the head of international narcotics affairs at the US Embassy in Tirana, Benjamin Rockwell.
"We have seen major blows from SPAK and other law enforcement agencies, which are becoming weekly, but the fact that Albania remains on the grey list in the fight against money laundering is a sign of shame for the country. Which raises questions of credit for the fight against corruption and organised crime. It shows a preventative position in international investment and economic growth, and of course, when there is such a large impact in society, it is a major problem of society," Rockwell said.
He asked to be careful and to be self-restraint even with fiscal amnesty.
