The border police of Kakavija customs point have hit a case of non-declaration of money at the border.

The authorities announce that the services of the Border Police in Kakavija have moved to the second line, for a more detailed control, the "Hyundai" type vehicle, driven by the Italian citizen GC. During the control exercised in his vehicle, the Border Police services found and seized 19,450 euros, which this citizen had not declared according to the legal provisions in force.

The police of Gjirokastra have seized the euros and started the criminal proceedings in a free state for the citizen GC, 53 years old, resident in Italy, for the criminal offense "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border". 

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Gjirokastra Judicial District Court, for further action.
