After the arrest of the agents who advertised crypto investments and the organizer who spread the platform mainly in the Divjaka area, investigators still do not know who was the mastermind of this fraudulent scheme that trapped hundreds of Albanians. From the verifications, only one name is known, Leo Smith.

Ereledio Shebeku, considered the organizer of this fraudulent scheme, was arrested in Rinas as soon as he arrived from Italy where he was receiving treatment for his child.

Like the agents arrested earlier, the 35-year-old did not provide details in his testimony, claiming that he learned about this platform online and that he did not force anyone to invest.

The scheme was developed on the Telegram social network, where agents introduced a platform where citizens had to invest a minimum of $1,000 to enter the scheme and were required to recruit 5 other members who also had to pay the same amount.

Shebenik turns out to be the first to start this membership pyramid. Initially in Divjaka among his relatives and then spread to Fier and Lushnje. The investigation revealed that he was communicating with a user named "Leo Smith" who sent him links on where to join and deposit money, as well as the trends of the alleged profits.

But apart from the name, investigators have not been able to learn more. From the verifications so far, it is suspected that the number of people defrauded by this pyramid is around 600 people. / TCH
