Citizens protest over the death of two minors

The tragic death of two children in a road accident has sparked protests from the citizens of Durrës, who marched this afternoon on the city's main streets.

With hundreds of participants, holding banners and photographs of the minors who lost their lives, the march started from the Police Directorate and stopped in front of the Durrës Municipality, in a strong call for security and justice.

Citizens denounce the negligence of institutions and demand stricter controls on road axes, emphasizing that children's lives can no longer be a prey to irresponsibility.

Their calls focused on stopping innocent deaths and raising awareness among drivers.

"Two innocent lives, we demand justice. Children should not have lost their lives like this. This should never happen again. Stop the negligence, save lives! Children's safety is an obligation," were some of the messages written on the protesters' banners.

The serious incident has caused great anger, especially after it was confirmed that the driver of the vehicle, Nikoll Radaçi, was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the fatal collision. In addition to the two victims, the accident also left another minor seriously injured, whose condition remains critical.

In addition to calls to the police, residents of the Arapaj area have also reported other cases of people moving at high speed in residential neighborhoods, becoming a constant threat to pedestrians.
