12 theft cases solved in Tirana, 23-year-old "hawk" arrested!

A 23-year-old man has been arrested by the Police, who have uncovered 12 cases of theft by the young man in Tirana.

Citizen Xh. M., 23 years old, suspected of 12 cases of theft from kiosks, as well as the theft of 1 bicycle, has been arrested by the Police.

Tirana police announcement:

Tirana / The operation codenamed "Kiosks" is being finalized by Police Station No. 3. 12 cases of theft in these entities have been solved.

The perpetrator of the cases, previously convicted of theft and drug crimes, is identified and arrested.

As a result of investigative and operational actions, carried out immediately after citizens' denunciations, for thefts during the period April - May 2026, in kiosks operating in various areas in the territory under the jurisdiction of Police Commissariat No. 3, the operation codenamed "Kiosks" was finalized.

As part of the operation, citizen Xh. M., 23 years old, suspected perpetrator of 12 cases of theft in these entities, as well as the theft of 1 bicycle, was identified, located and arrested.

The investigation continues to uncover other thefts that this citizen may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
