A serious incident shocked the citizens of Vlora on Tuesday, when a pit bull attacked and bit a four-year-old girl on the Lungomare promenade.

The State Police announces that, after investigations to clarify the incident, they have identified the dog's owner, an 87-year-old citizen who has been taken into criminal proceedings while at large.

During questioning, the elderly man stated that the pit bull was usually kept tied up inside the apartment, but according to him, the dog broke the chain and got outside, causing the attack on the girl.

All procedural materials have been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office, which will decide on measures and responsibility for this tragic event.
