Three young people were the victims of a strong explosion in an illegal warehouse of fireworks in Italy.
The serious event, which took the lives of an 18-year-old Albanian, Samuel Tafçiu and two twin sisters, Sara and Aurora Esposito, 26 years old, happened a few days ago in the Naples area.
The young people who lost their lives were also parents of two children. Tragic was the fact that young people worked in that warehouse for only 20 euros a day, illegally and without insurance.
As the Italian media write, the owner of the warehouse has registered the property to his 13-year-old daughter. He was charged with multiple murders, reckless endangerment and illegal possession of explosives.
Samuel lived in Ponticelli and despite his young age, was already the father of a 4-month-old daughter and was looking for a way to get ahead after working three months as a warehouse worker without being paid. He had arrived in Herculaneum through a friend and started working in the fireworks warehouse.
Samuel lived with his partner in his mother-in-law's house. As the latter testified to the Italian media, he had been working in another warehouse for three months, but had not been paid.
"Who tells my granddaughter that she no longer has a father? At the age of 18, you can't lose your life like this", said Anna Campagna, the 18-year-old's mother-in-law, through tears.
Among other things, she stated that Samuel had found work among friends and wanted to support his family.
"Inside were the son-in-law and the two daughters. They called us at 1pm and everything was fine. At 15:00 we were informed that the small factory had exploded. My son-in-law left behind his 17-year-old wife and a four-month-old baby. He wanted to support his family, he had found this job through friends. Samuel had been working in the warehouse for three months, but had not received a salary. He, my daughter and little girl live with me. I have 4 other children, what can I do? I buy milk and diapers for the baby," she says.
While the two twin girls were residents of Marigliano, raised without a father who died very early. Aurora was the mother of a five-year-old daughter, while Sara had boundless love for that little girl.
Inseparable twins, Sara and Aurora were always together. In a post dated 2022, Sara wished her twin a happy birthday on their 24th anniversary:
“Best wishes to me, but best wishes to you too. Our birthday, the day I was born, the day you were born. With you I don't need to look for you to get your attention because, after all, you feel when I'm not well the way I feel about you and no one can ever understand. You are always there, as a mother, best friend, father, son. You are my twin and I am very proud to say it because I am proud of you. Best wishes."
The girls have never hidden their love for their mother Lucia, the woman who raised them alone. The girls apparently worked there to help the family.
The mother has posted on social networks a video in memory of her daughters, with a very short comment: "It breaks my heart".
