The General Director of Albanian Public Radio and Television, Alfred Peza, has explained why RTSH is not broadcasting the European Football Championship, "Euro2024".

In the report that Peza himself made to the Media and Education Commission, it shows that in fact RTSH made a good and competitive offer, but they could not win it. This, after the "rivals" had offered more. 

Excerpts from the Media Commission:

Alfred Peza:  It is a right that is competed for in the market and the highest bidder wins. We have given a very good and competitive offer. There was a delay of several weeks in the response, and of course the highest bidder won. As for free broadcasting, the broadcasting right is the bundled and free broadcasting right. Those who bought it are obliged to give it "free".
