In just one week, from the monitoring carried out, the traffic police suspended 114 driving licenses, for speeding above the permitted rates, for driving under the influence of alcohol/in a drunken state, and for traffic in the opposite direction.

He also arrested 42 drivers, of these 29 for driving while intoxicated and 13 for driving without a driving license.

The road has also imposed 27 191 administrative measures throughout the country.

The police announce that they will continue monitoring intensively on all urban, interurban and rural roads, using intelligent tools and the modern logistic base at their disposal, in order to increase road safety parameters.

Police notification:

The Traffic Police services continue intensive traffic monitoring on all national, urban and rural road axes, in order to prevent road accidents.

Monitoring is being carried out with smart speedometers, police scanners and automatic radars, as well as high-end drones, drones and finally telescopes to identify mobile phone users and other traffic violators.

At the same time, mobile patrols have been added, supported by general patrols and the "Eagle" Special Force, since there is a flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic on all road axes and especially in the coastal areas.

As a result, during this week:

- 114 driving licenses were suspended, for speeding above the permitted rates, for driving under the influence of alcohol/in a drunken state, and for driving in the opposite direction;

- 42 drivers were arrested, of these 29 for driving while intoxicated and 13 for driving without a driving license.

In addition, 27,191 administrative measures have been imposed throughout the country, of which:

* 7333 for speed exceeding the permitted rates;

* 1713 for using a mobile phone while driving;

* 1440 for not using the seat belt;

* 3143 for wrong overpasses.

* 876 for not wearing a protective helmet;

* 256 for dangerous maneuvers on the road;

* 298 for driving under the influence of alcohol;

* 10009 for wrong parking;

* 2123 for other violations.

Also, during the next week, the Traffic Police services will intensively monitor all urban, interurban and rural roads, using intelligent tools and the modern logistic base at their disposal, in order to increase road safety parameters.

The Traffic Police appeals to all drivers of vehicles and motor vehicles, to strictly implement the traffic rules, to use alternative routes, to stay in line when there is a slowdown in the movement of vehicles in cases of traffic, to give priority to pedestrians and not to make wrong passes or dangerous maneuvers in urban centers and national axes.

Also, truck drivers must strictly implement movement restrictions during the weekend and official holidays.
