Albano Veli and Andrew Bode are the two persons officially accused by the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana for the murder of businessman Edmond Papa.
They are suspected of having organized and implemented the plan for the execution of the hotel businessman from Saranda, after the murder of their friend.
Edmond Papa was executed on December 16, 2022 in the Selita area of Tirana, about 6 months after the tritol murder of Aleksandër Sadikaj near TEG.
Sadikaj's two close friends, Albano Veli and Andrew Bode, are reported to have followed the owner of the "Blue Sky" hotel in Saranda and when he arrived from abroad in Tirana, he was executed with a barrage of bullets in a bar near the house.
After about a year of investigation and with one of the two perpetrators arrested, the capital's prosecutor's office "closed" the file and sent it for trial.
The close friend of the two defendants, Aleksandër Sadikaj, knew Edmond Papa and it is suspected that there was a conflict between them over a large amount of drugs lost on the way to Greece. Two days before the car he was traveling in was blown up near TEG, on June 11, 2022, Sadikaj had slept in the Pope's hotel in Saranda.
The family members of the young man from Tepelena have always had doubts that Edmond Papa was behind the murder of their son and that the plan for execution by tritol was made in his hotel. The friendship of the perpetrators of the murder of the businessman Papa with Aleksandër Sadikaj and other circumstances of this event have made the investigators suspect that it was carried out for revenge.
6 months after Aleksandër Sadikaj was killed with a tritol outside Tirana, his two close friends Albano Veli and Andrew Bode executed businessman Edmond Papa with a barrage of bullets.
Despite the fact that more than a year has passed and the execution of Aleksandër Sadikaj has not yet been clarified by the authorities, the family members of the young man from Tepelena have engaged privately and gathered information about the people who could have had a hand in the event.
The main suspect was businessman Edmond Papa, as it is reported that some time before Alexander's murder, the two had a strong conflict over the loss of a large shipment of drugs. Both victims were involved in events related to drug trafficking in Tepelena, Saranda and Greece.
