Zvërnec Project/4 Million Dollar Investment Connected to One of the Largest

The giant project worth around $4 billion that is expected to be developed in the Zvërnec area and Sazan Island has investors from Qatar, according to official documents from the beneficial owners' registry.

Data published in the extract from the Beneficial Ownership Registry shows that the company "Albania Land Development", registered in Albania and engaged in the project, is owned by two Qatari citizens, who each have 50% of indirect ownership.

According to the document, the beneficial owners are Mohamad Moataz Mhd Ruslan Alkhayat and Ramez Mhd Ruslan Alkhayyat, who are registered as the ultimate beneficiaries of the company.

The documents show that control over the company is exercised through several companies registered in Qatar, including Assets International LLC, Assets Real Estate Development WLL, Assets Real Estate Ventures LLC, Power International Holding WLL, Sazan Land Holding LLC and Sazan Real Estate Development LLC.

The ownership structure also includes Power International Holding (PIH), one of the largest private business groups in Qatar, with investments in the construction, real estate, tourism, energy and financial services sectors.

The Sazan and Zvërnec project is considered one of the largest tourism investments ever announced in Albania. Albanian authorities have stated that it aims to transform the area into a luxury tourist destination with resorts, marinas, hotels and modern infrastructure, while the investment is estimated at around 4 billion dollars./top channel
