The Deputy Minister of the Interior, Romina Kuko, gave details this Monday through a statement regarding new admissions to the Security Academy. Kuko stated that there are 100 free quotas in the country this year.

"These 100 young people who will be admitted to the ranks of the Security Academy are part of the group that we have called "of excellence", since they must meet certain criteria and come from the branches: jurisprudence, economics or IT", he declared Cuckoo.

"Applications are made at the local police directorates where the applicant has permanent residence. The admission quotas for citizens who have completed the first and second cycle of higher education studies in legal, economic or computer sciences are divided according to the needs of the police directorate at the local level. 17 quotas in Korça, 5 quotas in Berat district, 8 quotas in Fier district, 13 quotas in Vlorë district, 16 quotas in Gjirokastër district, 13 quotas in Shkodër district, 16 quotas in Kukës district and 12 quotas in Dibër district. After the end of the competition, the ranking of the winning applicants according to the results achieved will be done at the district level based on the announced quotas", she added.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized that the average admission to the Security Academy must be grade 8 or higher in both study cycles, bachelor's and master's.

Even the Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla has shared this official communication on his Facebook social network where he writes:

"The challenge to renew the State Police is open.

Applications to the Order Academy started on August 10. Other additional criteria for applicants is to be no more than 30 years old; be at least 170 cm tall for men and 160 cm for women; master the foreign language English.

The deadline for applications is August 30, 2023. The submission of the necessary documentation is done at the local police directorates, where the applicant has permanent residence. Part of the file, apart from the application form, are the diplomas of the Bachelor's and Master's cycle, including the notarized lists of grades of both cycles, photocopies of the identity card; Photocopies of the proof of driving ability, type "B".
