Police forcibly remove protesters who spent the night at the Prime

Police intervened this morning in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where for about a week, citizens and protesters have been spending the night in revolt against the government, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

According to reports, around 100 police officers were deployed in the area and forcibly removed the protesters who were in front of the building. After the intervention, the police cleared the area, also collecting the shoes left on the steps of the Prime Minister's Office, which the protesters had placed as a symbol of the emigration of young people and the lack of prospects in the country.

This action has caused reactions from the citizens present, where at some moments tensions and verbal "clashes" have been recorded between a protester and the police officers who had created a security cordon around the building. The protesters have described the removal of the symbolic installation as a violation of a "work of art" and a public expression of dissatisfaction.

The police then proceeded to seize several metal benches used by protesters as security barriers and as part of the improvised rally structure, where citizens expressed their dissatisfaction every evening.

Meanwhile, the protest organizers have announced that the 29th consecutive protest against the government is expected to take place today. According to them, the main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while they have stated that the rallies will continue until this demand is met, inviting citizens to participate massively.
