The collection of signatures for the petition that will ask Prime Minister Rama to dismiss the Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi and the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Mirela Kumbaro, started yesterday from Shkodra.
For "Euronews", activist Eliona Shkreli said that about 405 firms gathered in the northern city only yesterday.
She said that the expectations are that 50,000 signatures for the dismissal of the ministers will be collected throughout the country.
"It started in Shkodër, tomorrow we will also be in Velipoja. It started today in Durrës, it will start in Tirana. This initiative will be extended to all municipalities of the country. I was impressed in Shkodër, because I did not expect there to be so many, that we received around 405 signatures only yesterday.
There were especially many Albanian immigrants who had come from Italy. The petition is also online. In our expectations, 50 thousand firms are not discussed, it could be even more. In Shkodër, seeing this interest, I believe with over 3-4 thousand companies", she emphasized.
The two ministers, Çuçi and Kumbaro, are accused by the protesters of having moral responsibility for the tragic event where the 7-year-old Jonada Avdia lost her life, and together with the police director, Gladis Nano, will have to resign.
The petition was announced on Monday at the end of the second protest, and once the necessary signatures are completed, they will be sent to the Prime Minister.
