A serious incident was recorded on Sunday afternoon in Shkodra, where the dead body of a 26-year-old man was found in the waters of Lake Shkodra.

According to the official announcement, around 18:40, the Operating Room of the Regional Directorate of Environmental Control of Shkodra announced the presence of a corpse in the lake, near the Shiroka area. The body was found by some fishermen, who immediately notified the authorities.

The victim has been identified as citizen IL, 26 years old, while sources from the investigative group indicate that he is suspected of suffering from depression. From preliminary examinations, no signs of violence were found on his body, adding to the suspicions that it may be an act of suicide.

The police and the investigative group from the Shkodra Commissariat are continuing their work to fully clarify the circumstances of the event, while the body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue for forensic expertise.
