Despite the sanctions, Russians are allowed to enter Albania without a tourist

Despite the sanctions, the government has decided that Russian citizens can enter Albania without a tourist visa.

From this Wednesday, April 20, Russian citizens and from some other countries such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, India, Qatar, Oman and Thailand, are allowed to enter Albania without the need for a visa, but only with a passport, for tourism.

According to the decision, citizens are allowed to enter Albania for a limited period starting from today until December 30. Meanwhile, regarding the citizens from Russia, which is also at war with Ukraine and at the same time facing numerous sanctions from the West, sanctions which include banning certain persons from entering European countries, the Albanian government in its decision explains that these citizens can enter Albania without a visa for tourist reasons and with a passport, for a limited period from May 1 to September 30.

"List of countries whose citizens enter the Republic of Albania without a visa for tourist reasons and with a passport document for a limited period / for the period from April 20 to December 31: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt *, India, Qatar, Oman, Russia *, Thailand. * Citizens of countries marked with the symbol (*), enter the Republic of Albania without a visa for tourist reasons and with a passport document, for a limited period / for the period from May 1 to September 30 ", it is stated in the government decision adopted today.
