New details are emerging about the murder of 20-year-old Portuguese Luis Miguel Varela Mendes, an incident that occurred yesterday morning in Ksamil. According to police investigations, the conflict allegedly began with a clash between the young man and 29-year-old David Heurtevent (Albanian-American), a resident of Vora, who then punched him.

According to the dynamics revealed by the authorities, the clash began in the premises of the "Principote" bar, where Heurtevent is suspected of being the first to clash with the Portuguese tourist. After the first blows, several members of the bar's staff were also involved in the fight, who are suspected of having hit the 20-year-old.

The situation then escalated, and according to police, Sokrat Vata, 29, is suspected of intervening in the conflict and stabbing the Portuguese tourist several times. The wounds sustained proved fatal for the 20-year-old.

For the incident, the police have arrested Sokrat Lipan alias Sokrat Vata, suspected of being the perpetrator of the stabbings, while David Heurtevent has been declared wanted. Both are suspected of the criminal offense of "Intentional Murder", committed in collaboration.

Several other people have also been arrested as part of the investigation, including employees of the "Principote" bar, suspected of being involved in the fight or failing to notify authorities after the incident. Investigations are ongoing to document all the circumstances and the role of each person in the conflict that ended with the death of the Portuguese tourist.

Sources from the investigation team said that the victim's friends stated that they did not see the moment when the 20-year-old Portuguese man was stabbed. They said that they confronted the police in the morning and, at the entrance to the beach bar, very close to the seashore, they saw the lifeless body of their friend.

According to their testimonies, until that moment they had no idea what had happened to the 20-year-old. The 29-year-old did not give any explanation and did not say a word about the conflict, the stabbing or the moments after the incident.
