Police controls continue in the Korça region to crack down on illegal gambling activities.

During the operation conducted in several neighborhoods of the city, two other cases of this activity were identified, where one person was arrested in flagrante delicto, two others are being prosecuted, while 3 mobile phones used for online sports betting were seized as material evidence.

Controls continue throughout the territory of the Korça district, to identify and crack down on illegal gambling activities.

2 more instances of this activity are reported.

1 citizen is arrested and 2 others are criminally prosecuted.

3 cell phones are seized.

In implementation of the Plan of Measures for the control of premises and persons who exercise the illegal activity of organizing unauthorized games of chance and in implementation of the plan of operation "The Last Game", based on information obtained in operational ways, the services of the Korça Police Commissariat have exercised controls in several neighborhoods of the city. As a result, 2 more cases of this illegal activity were detected, specifically:

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Korça Police Commissariat arrested the citizen in flagrante delicto:

-MP, 43 years old, resident of Korça for the criminal offenses of "Organizing or conducting gambling activities in violation of the law" and "Making premises available for illegal gambling".

They also referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens GA and Gj. M., residents of Korça,

During the search carried out in the premises owned by the 43-year-old, in neighborhood no. 8, Korça, sports betting sites were found on the mobile phones of citizens MP and GA. Also, during the search carried out on the mobile phone of citizen Gj. M., in the premises where he was located in neighborhood no. 9, Korça, sports betting sites were found.

Three mobile phones were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action.
