The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, accompanied by the Director General of the University Trauma Hospital, Edlira Bode, visited today, at the Trauma Hospital, Police officer Edison Adri, who was injured on June 4, during a dangerous operation in Boden Mountain, Maliq, to ??capture a high-risk citizen.

During this operation, the police officer, now a Martyr of the Fatherland, Enea Mekolli, lost his life in the line of duty.

During the visit, the Director General expressed his maximum support to the officer injured in the line of duty, and wished him a speedy recovery.

"I came here today to shake your hand, Edison, to wish you a speedy recovery, and to express my deepest gratitude for the courage, dedication, and extraordinary bravery you showed in the face of danger."

 The loss of our dear colleague, Enea Mekolli, who fell in the line of duty and is today a Martyr of the Fatherland, is a great pain for the entire family of the State Police. Fortunately, you survived the gun attack and are among us today, giving us strength and hope.

Our support, but also that of citizens who respect the law and want order and security, will be unwavering for you and Enea's family.

I want to guarantee all State Police employees who serve every day with integrity and sacrifice, that they will always have my full support, at all times and in the face of every challenge.

"I guarantee the citizens that, despite the risk and human costs that this war may bring, we will not retreat a single step in the face of crime. We will continue to be on the front lines, with determination, professionalism and dignity, to fight crime and guarantee the safety of citizens," said Skënder Hita.
