The photo of Armando Pacani , one of the lesser-known names to the Albanian public, but who, according to SPAK, is at the center of one of the largest investigations of recent years into international cocaine trafficking and money laundering, has been revealed for the first time.

Pacani is among 10 people for whom the Special Prosecution Office has signed an arrest warrant as part of an international operation to crack down on organized crime.  

According to investigations, the criminal group in which he is suspected of having a leading role operated during 2019-2021 in Latin America and Europe, trafficking large quantities of cocaine to European markets.

SPAK's investigation, conducted for more than two years in cooperation with foreign authorities, has documented five episodes of cocaine trafficking, where nearly 9 tons of narcotics were seized in Belgium, the Netherlands, Ecuador and Colombia.

According to the prosecution, the group is suspected of having trafficked a total of at least 50 tons of cocaine.

But the case does not stop at drug trafficking. SPAK suspects that the profits generated by this criminal activity were invested in Albania through companies, real estate and construction projects.

As part of the investigation, 491 assets were seized, including villas, apartments, hotels, land, vehicles and 209 bank accounts with an estimated value of around 150 million euros.

Among the people for whom arrest warrants have been issued are Eldi Dizdari, also known as Denis Matoshi, Dritan Gjika, etc.
