The "5D" trial begins at the GJKKO, 63 people are called as witnesses!

As part of the investigations into the "5D" file, one of the 63 witnesses, the former owner of the IGOR Electric company, Eduard Meta, has given testimony before the Special Prosecution Office.

Meta has spoken about his management period at the electricity company from 2016 to 2018, clarifying his activities, finances and connections with some of the defendants in this file.

Meta stated that 'IGOR Electric was founded by him in 2013 as a natural person, then it was registered as a legal entity. The company's initial capital was only 1 thousand lekë'.

During the period 2016-2018, the company performed electrical installations, private subcontracting contracts, as well as public works with institutions such as OSHEE, the Municipality of Tirana, and Tirana Parking.

Meta emphasized that he had been the administrator and sole partner until his departure, when Nestor Muhametllari was included in the company.

During his testimony, Meta admitted that he had withdrawn 114 million lek during 2016, most of which, according to him, was spent on purchasing materials and making "underhand" payments, a common practice at the time.

He added that in 2017 he had sold 75% of the company's shares for 75 lekë, explaining that he wanted to close the company's activities to start another business.

In SPAK's questions about his connections with the defendants in the 5D case, Meta stated that he had social acquaintances with some of them, including Mariglen Qato, Redi Molla and Nestor Muhametllari, but had not had close professional relationships.

He also explained that the company had outstanding debts and invoices, but had not taken out loans and ended each year with a positive balance.
