The former head of the Kurbin police station, Dritan Metaj, appealed to the Supreme Court, for the decision given by the 1st GJKKO Appeal.

Furthermore, it requests the mitigation of the security measure, "prison arrest" that was left in force by the Appeal of the GJKKO.

The former head of Kurbini Police Station was arrested on October 9 of this year, during the "flames at sea" operation, as he is suspected, according to SPAK, of having helped drug 'baron' Gëzim Çela in the criminal activity of drug trafficking and not being caught by the police as a wanted person.

Gëzim Çela was arrested a few weeks ago in Kosovo and his extradition to Albania is expected.
