Eduart Reçi, 52 years old, died after being shot with a firearm shortly before midnight on Thursday in Tirana. Until now, the motives and authors of this very serious event remain a mystery. Journalist Merin Maçi explained in the show "Opinion" all the dynamics of the execution.

"He was in this five-story building together with his wife where they have several premises that they rent out in the form of AirBnB. In this area, they have an apartment in this building, while there is also a business owned by the 52-year-old that is rented out. Around 22:44 he was in the premises of the five-story building together with his wife, carrying out some maintenance processes of this building. At 10:44 p.m., he was spotted by the cameras as he went out alone. He has the phone in his hands, as he is seen writing" , said Maçi.

At the same minute, Maçi says that the witnesses heard a muffled shot.

Therefore, the police's suspicions are that the shooting was done with a short sporting weapon.

This is because sporting guns do not produce as much noise.

"It is not that characteristic sound of firearms. He may have used a silencer or sporting weapon. At least this is the investigation group's suspicion that the shooting was done with a short sporting weapon" , said Maçi.

After being shot, the 52-year-old fell to the ground. It was the staff of the business leased by him who found him lying down. They have approached to give him first aid. After customers approached the bar, his relatives also notified the police at 11:00 p.m., about 15 minutes after he was shot.

"The denunciation was made for a bloodied person, perhaps because of the shock they suffered from the scene they saw ," said the journalist.

When the police saw the scene of the incident, they understood that we were dealing with a criminal incident. The results of the analyzes show that Reçi had a 7 millimeter shell in his body.

"In the hospital, it was seen that the bullet taken by the 52-year-old is in the right part of the head, above the ear. A single bullet. For several hours he fought with his life, but he did not manage to survive", said the journalist.

There is no trace of the person who may have shot on the resort cameras.

From the experiments carried out today, the suspicions are that the impact may have come from an object behind his wings, at a distance of almost 20-30 meters.

"From the investigation group they tell me that it is not a pistol, a weapon that has precision and in this condition the suspicions are for a sporting weapon. What makes it more of a puzzle is the past of the 52-year-old", said Maçi.
