Minister of Justice Besfort Lamallari received today in a meeting the head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), Altin Dumani.

In a post on social media, Minister Lamallari states that he discussed with Dumani his priorities in this task within the framework of negotiations with the EU.

"I shared with him the priorities of the Ministry of Justice as part of the Government Program 2025-2029, in full compliance with the obligations undertaken within the framework of negotiations with the European Union. The Rule of Law is the foundation of European Albania."

Consolidating the independence of the judiciary and continuing support for Justice Reform remain the absolute priority of the Albanian government! Lamallari writes.

On Saturday, September 20, Ulsi Manja officially handed over his duties to the new Minister of Justice, Besfort Lamallari. A day earlier, on September 19, he had taken the oath of office as President along with the other 15 new members of the government cabinet.
