Interior Minister Albana Koçiu begins her duties with an "iron fist" from the first days of her appointment to the new position.

One of her decisions a few days after being sworn in as president was the proposal she made to the government to dismiss Deputy Minister  Andi Mahila .

The cigarette he was smoking inside a closed environment cost the deputy minister his job.

Mahila, who had held this position for years, was photographed smoking cigarettes in a closed environment in violation of the law.

The citizen reported the case to Interior Minister Albana Koçiu. After reviewing the case, the minister proposed the dismissal of Andi Mahilaj, who was subsequently relieved of his duties.

Andi Mahila has held the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs since January 2021.

After being dismissed by the government, Minister Koçiu also notified the citizen who had reported the case of the decision.
