After the VKM for the closure of the Albanological Academy and its merger with the Academy of Sciences, the scientific workers and leaders of the Albanological Institutes held a meeting with the Academy of Sciences about the process.

According to the sources of 'News 24', in the talks between the parties, the head of the Academy of Sciences, Skender Gjinushi, tried to reassure the scientific employees about their future under the roof of the Academy of Sciences.

At the end of the meeting a few days ago, the representatives of the Albanian Academy asked Gjinushi to present how the Albanian institutes will function under the Academy's control, while the future remains unclear.

In a letter that the Academy of Sciences sent to the Albanian Academy this Saturday, Gjinushi, on behalf of the Assembly, says that he has decided to:

To approve the establishment at the Academy of Sciences (ASSH) of permanent research-study units in Albanian sciences, with the object of linguistics, archaeology, history, literature and arts, anthropology and encyclopedic studies and publications according to the status of the following designations: - Institute
of linguistics and literature;
– Institute of Archaeology;
– Institute of History;
– Arts Study Center;
– Institute of Anthropology;

– Center for Encyclopedic and Albanological Publications (QBEA).

Following the letter signed by Gjinushi, it is said that these institutes are made up of departments, their managers and the director, while the centers are made up of sectors, their managers and the director.
The institutes and the art study center are reorganized on the basis of the existing main units and have a staff of 98 research employees, while the center of encyclopedic and Albanian publications has a staff of 8-9 employees.

According to the letter, research workers of permanent units enjoy the same status as academic staff in higher schools. The category and salary structure of the three are determined by a special decision of the Council of Ministers as well as for the administrative and auxiliary personnel.
As for the budget, the units, the letter states, have a separate item from the Academy's annual budget, but the figure is currently not clear.

Meanwhile, Gjinushi has decided to dismiss the managers of the Albanological Institutes, as understood from the letter, while the employees will have to be reconfirmed by the academy.

We quote from the letter:
"Until December 15, the appointment of research workers will be made through reconfirmation in ASHSH, respecting the professional statuses acquired by them in accordance with the new organization;

- By December 15, the statute of the institutes and their equivalents at the ASH should be drawn up and approved;
- Until the election of the new management bodies in accordance with the reorganization at ASHSH and with the provisions in the Statute, temporary management structures are appointed.
This decision takes effect immediately,
