Like every May 5, on the day of the Martyrs, war veterans addressed the Martyrs' Cemetery in Tirana this morning.
The veterans were filmed crossing the road from side to side, riding on the curb in the middle of it. As they greeted with their fists up, they held flowers and a wreath with the inscription:
"Glory to the heroes and martyrs of LANC of the Albanian nation SNP and ALP".
Martyrs' Day originated on May 5, 1942, when Qemal Stafa was killed, who with his activity became a symbol of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War.
