The trauma hospital operating rooms will be closed for two days next week. According to News 24, the reason is pollution in the halls and they will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday.

This has created a chaotic situation for the planning of surgical interventions as many operations planned on these two dates will have to be postponed or canceled. Doctors have expressed concern about this situation.

In relation to the news, the trauma hospital also reacted, announcing through a statement that we are dealing with a routine disinfection.

"The University Hospital of Trauma reacts to the news published by News 24, that the operating rooms at the Trauma Hospital are closed, informs that this is a false news. Today's planned interventions are currently being performed in the operating rooms.

Regarding the disinfection process, we inform you that in the premises of some of the hospital's surgical rooms, the routine disinfection process will be carried out in the next few days, this procedure is in accordance with safety, hygiene and service quality standards.

This is a periodic procedure that is carried out for the operating rooms and that does not in any way affect the surgical emergency service, whose operating block is ready and in full operation 24/7 for services to patients", the hospital's announcement states.
