As the government continues to challenge internationals for fiscal amnesty, attempts to smuggle money into the country have increased.

A day after 522,000 undeclared euros were seized in the port of Durrës, which had entered and arrived with the Durres-Bari ferry, today it was learned about another amount of euros that has been blocked because it was undeclared.

Today, 25,000 euros were blocked and found hidden in a van with passengers, while 522,000 euros placed in 6 bags entered Albania hidden in the upper part of a bus, near the air conditioner.

The journalist, Elton Qyno, tells Ora News that such forms create reasonable suspicions that it is money from Albanian organized crime that operates in various European countries and that its profits seek to invest in Albania.

"It is about 547 thousand euros. Both events are separate and different individuals are being investigated, but the line is the same. Both cases came from Bari, Italy, towards the port of Durrës and the final destination is not yet known. It is a repeated case, for 6-7 years in the port of Durrës there is a large flow of these episodes, where certain people put in amounts of money. The most mediatic was the case of the Toyota Yaris with 4.3 million euros. It was followed by another 493 thousand euros a few months later. The cases are increasing, but all of them have strong and reasonable suspicions that this money comes from criminal groups operating in different areas of Europe, which by achieving large profits, their goal is to bring this money to in Albania and they invest in different fields in their homeland" says the journalist.

Qyno drew attention to the fact that we have not had the entry of money in such amounts through the border points with Greece.

"They came from Norway, England, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. We have not had any cases where Albanian criminal groups have introduced large amounts of money through the border points with Greece. Despite the fact that there are many Albanians involved in criminal activities in Greek territory again their incomes are not big enough to be supported and put into this kind of form that we have seen yesterday and today in Durrës. The biggest incomes of criminal groups are in Belgium, the Netherlands and England because that is where the market is biggest narcotics dealer." Qyno declares.
