25-year-old waitress Meri Kacerri risks losing her left arm due to bullets that accidentally hit her in the September 8th attack in Shkodra.

She was at her workplace like every other day, but the barrage of bullets for Erogen Vason did not spare even the innocent.

Ragip Gila opened fire in a volley and attempted to kill Erogen Vaso alias Brajovic , but the bullets took the lives of his friend Armando Pali while he was drinking his morning coffee, and bodyguard Liridon Kraja .

Vaso himself was injured, along with the waitress Meri Kacerri.

The 25-year-old woman risks losing her left arm, as a result of the bullets that have hit her in her main arteries.

She was taken from Shkodra to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, immediately after the assassination attempt, but despite first aid, Meri needs specialized treatment.

The 25-year-old, who worked as a waitress to support her family, needs the help of Albanians because she cannot afford surgeries and medical treatments.  

Her relatives have launched a "GoFoundME" initiative and are asking anyone who can to donate for Meri Kacerri's treatment and recovery. The bullets were not aimed at her and she was not at fault, but now the event happened and Meri needs help.

"Anyone who knows our sister and daughter knows that she is a girl who never gives up: she works tirelessly, even when her body can no longer support her, she always finds the strength to stand on her feet to help her family. The situation is very delicate and requires immediate medical intervention, surgeries and treatments that are associated with considerable expenses, so, with great difficulty, but with our hands on our hearts, we turn to you, friends, acquaintances and every kind heart that can lend a hand," the family's announcement states.

On the morning of September 8, the city of Shkodra was shaken by a hail of bullets, where an attempt was made to kill Erogen Vaso alias Brajovic, but which unfortunately killed his friend Armando Pali and driver Liridon Kraja. Vaso himself was wounded, along with the waitress Meri Kacerri.

The perpetrator was quickly identified and arrested. He was 29-year-old Ragip Gila, who in his preliminary testimony said that he had taken responsibility for the murder of Erogen Vaso after the latter had threatened him.
