Magistrate Etleva Deda has been appointed as the judge of the preliminary hearing that will review the file of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj .

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime announced yesterday (September 10) that it has completed the investigations into Erion Veliaj and Ajola Xoxa.

The official SPAK announcement lists 13 charges against Mayor Veliaj and 12 against his wife, Ajola Xoxa.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj , faces 13 serious criminal charges, which are mainly related to passive corruption, money laundering, abuse of office and falsification of assets.

This results in 9 charges of passive corruption in collaboration, in relation to illegal benefits from several companies and NGOs, including: Agi Kons, Fusha shpk, Palushi shpk, Gerard-A, Kontakt shpk, Eventus (NGO) and Muza, BYL-A and Frobolous (NGO).
