The Greek electronic media devoted a special place to the Albania-Italy agreement for a refugee camp in the port of Shengjin with a capacity of 36,000 people.

The Greek media refers to the agreement with the details that have been made public in the Albanian and Italian media, without commenting or paralleling the situation with that of the islands of Greece, which is also a host country for a very high number of refugees.

The articles include the statements of the prime ministers of the two countries as well as a few details on how the refugees will be dealt with, while "Efimerida ton Sintakton" a left-wing newspaper in a second article refers to the Italian media, where the agreement is considered as "a monstrous pact ", which violates all existing legal structures and that the criteria by which the selection of refugees on the ship will be made cannot ensure the basic principles, raising the questions of "who will be the judge, in any case, how will the refugees be separated from different places" and others.

Also, questions are raised about the status of the refugee asylum seeker in a third country, since Albania is not a member of the EU. The Greek media points out that the agreement has aroused many reactions in the Albanian media and that it is a first topic in the country.

Finally, the Greek media refers to the comment of an EC representative, as the first reaction about the agreement, where it is emphasized that "the European Commission is aware of the agreement. It is important that any agreement of this type respects EU rules and international law."
