A serious accident occurred overnight on the Maliq-Pogradec axis, in a place called "Lapidari" near the village of Podgorie.

Two vehicles, under still unclear circumstances, collided head-on.

As a result, one of the drivers, a 28-year-old man, died while the driver of the other car was injured.

The vehicle in which the victim Aurel Çipi was traveling was completely destroyed as a result of the collision, while the Maliq fire department took more than an hour to remove his body.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle is out of danger.

It is initially believed that the cause of the accident was a wrong maneuver by one of the drivers.
