Rrustem Hasaj, the father of Arjon Hasaj, who killed Ramazan Mataj in Shkodra a few days ago, apologized on behalf of his son in an interview for "Top Story".
Rrustem Hasaj demanded that justice continue the investigation and that his son receive the punishment he deserves. He stated that he had no information about the conflict between the son and the victim.
"I'm done with this gesture. I apologize to his family. If my father knew, he wouldn't have gone in this condition. I was in Tirana, I found out later, I didn't have any information whether they had weapons or not. I apologize to his tribe, to his father. We had company. I myself was not aware, I wouldn't have allowed it to happen. Whoever did it, get the punishment he deserves. I don't have the face to take anyone home, I didn't go. I apologize to Fatmir Mata, he took me by the neck with four children."
Rrustem Mataj claimed that he was aware of the fact that the victim had molested his daughters.
"The boy has stated that he broke up with his first husband by this person, and with his second husband as well. I have kept quiet about it, I am aware that he has harassed him."
Amidst fears of retaliation, he asked to leave with his family.
"I ask to leave an hour early with my family," he said.
