After the great efforts of the fire services and all the forces engaged in the field, it became possible to bring under control the reactivated hearth of the fire in the shopping center in Lushnje.

The situation remains under monitoring.

The shopping center in Lushnje was engulfed in flames on Christmas afternoon. The situation became difficult because the upper floors of the building are residential houses. Initially, the flames were noticed on the third floor of the building and spread rapidly, making it difficult for the police and fire brigade to intervene.  

Dozens of citizens in the building engulfed in flames rushed out, while others remained isolated in their homes. 

After the intervention of the police, the Shqiponja forces and especially the RENEA special forces, it became possible to check the residents door to door, and fortunately to find and evacuate 39 asphyxiated citizens, out of danger to life.
