The head of the National Emergency Skënder Brataj has spoken to the media about the extraordinary situation today in Lushnje. He stated that there are 40 people in the hospital, among them 3 are children.
Brataj ruled out any risk to the health of the patients, stressing that they had problems with asphyxiation from the smoke and no other consequences.
"Emergency has been organized with different wards in the hospital. 8 of the patients are firefighters and 3 children, 2 have left the hospital, one is under observation. There were no burns, there was no loss of consciousness. I do not believe that there will be consequences for the patients in the hospital, if there will be, the teams are on standby. Two children aged 14, the one who was exposed to smoke is about 7 years old and is still in the hospital, however there are no difficult codes", said Brataj.
