The High Court has returned for retrial to the Special Court 5 defendants accused of being part of the Lazarat arson group, who opposed police officers with weapons in the first operation in 2014.

Arbjon Aliko, Gurgaz Skënderi, Alfred Proko, Enrik Skënderi and Beqo Brahimaj were sentenced by the Serious Crimes Court to 52 years in prison out of the 57 requested by the Prosecution, a decision that was also upheld by the Court of Appeal.

The Supreme Court, after reviewing this case, decided to return it for retrial, this time to the Special Court. The Serious Crimes Court handed down these sentences to the accused:
