Police have arrested the owner of an olive oil factory after a 67-year-old man lost his life after injuring his hand in machinery.

The serious incident occurred on December 19 at the factory in the village of Barbas, Petrelë.

The victim, Maksim Pekmezi , is suspected of accidentally injuring his hand in machinery at an olive oil production factory owned by the 55-year-old and as a result, he lost his life.

VoxNews has learned that the 67-year-old man who lost his life is the uncle of the minister's wife, Taulant Balla .

Police announcement:

"Police Station No. 1 arrested in flagrante delicto: Xh.H, 55 years old, after in the village of Barbas, Petrelë, at a silo for the production of olive oil, owned by him, citizen MP, 67 years old, was injured, and as a result he lost his life," the police announced.
