Yesterday's protest in Tirana took an unusual turn when the crowd of protesters moved from the center of the capital towards the Tirana-Durres highway and then to the axis leading to Rinas.

The march lasted for about five hours, causing long traffic jams and tensions with police forces near the airport road.

This unexpected move sparked various reactions, raising a question: Who made the decision for the protesters to head towards Rinas and why?

We recall that in any mass protest, the choice of movement route is not random.

It determines not only the political impact of the protest, but also the energy of the participants.

The organizers of the protest suspect that there are infiltrators, who are presenting themselves as police officers. Gentjan Progni has published a video on Facebook where he raises doubts that the protesters were deliberately heading towards Rinas.

Protesters have raised allegations that they were directed towards Rinas by unidentified persons, to tire them out from the march so they could disperse later.

The protesters marched from "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard towards the highway, then onto the Rinas axis, where they were stopped by police before reaching the airport.

In the end, the crowd was forced to turn back towards Tirana.
