The trial against Laert Haxhiu in the Special Court continues with the testimonies of the persons summoned by the court, while in today's session, Xhuljano Xhaferraj, the brother of the victim Fridman Xhaferraj, was questioned.
During his testimony, Xhaferraj was questioned by the prosecutor regarding the authorship of his brother's murder, but stated that he had no direct knowledge of who had committed the crime.
"Who killed Fridman?" the prosecutor asked.
"I don't know, they say we killed him. Laertes' father said my son had no hand in it. 'My son has no hand in it,' he told me. I asked him how it happened, because I found out that my brother had been with Laertes. I'm in the air, I don't know anything at all," the witness declared.
Further, he said that he had heard allegations in Lushnje that the order for the murder was given by Laert Haxhiu.
"In Lushnja I heard that the order was given by Laert Haxhiu," said Xhuljano Xhaferraj.
During the questioning, the prosecutor also asked the witness about Fridman Xhaferraj's activities and company.
"What did Fridman do?" the prosecutor asked.
"He didn't tell me anything. He told me he was going abroad. I didn't even know his friends. I know he used narcotics and sold them. He's been to prison three times. The last time he was in Peqin. From what I've heard, I know he was involved in drugs, but I'm not sure. I knew Artan Tafani because I was in prison with him, he knew my brother because he was in prison in Rrogozhina," he replied.
Xhuljano Xhaferraj is currently under the security measure of "prison arrest" for another criminal case and appeared at the Criminal Court of Kosovo accompanied by prison police.
